Doctor Bios

Dr. David Mainman, M.D.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dr. Mainman attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and received his Bachelor of Science degree in the Target MD program. He then received his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed an Ob/Gyn residency at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Mainman practiced in South Carolina for 13 years prior to moving to Tucson. He has particular interest and expertise in Minimally Invasive Surgery including Robotic Laparoscopic Surgery to perform Hysterectomy, Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery (treatment of uterine prolapse and repair of cystocele and rectocele), and in-office/no incision sterilization as well as in-office endometrial ablation to stop heavy periods. Dr. Mainman moved his family to Tucson in December of 2005 and started Desert Bloom Obstetrics & Gynecology with his wife, Dr. Andrea Mainman. He is an avid bicyclist and when away from work can be found on his bike or with Dr. Andrea and their three children hiking, swimming or playing tennis.

 

Dr. Andrea Mainman, M.D.

Originally from Tucson, Arizona Dr. Andrea Mainman attended the University of Arizona, where she received a degree in Nutritional Sciences. She attended medical school at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. She practiced in South Carolina for 10 years and has now returned to Tucson with her husband, Dr. David Mainman, and their three children. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She and her husband started Desert Bloom Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2006. She has a special interest in High Risk Obstetrics. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Outside of work she spends her time swimming, hiking and playing tennis, usually with the children. Dr Andrea is currently only accepting new Obstetric patients.

 

Dr. Angelika Priestley, M.D.

Dr. Priestley was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Dr. Priestley attended medical school at Ross University in Dominica, West Indies. She then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Priestley is married with two children. She has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, tennis and swimming with her kids. Dr Priestley joined Desert Bloom Obstetrics and Gynecology in August of 2009. She is board eligible with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

 

 

Dr. Timothy Hoskins, M.D.

Dr. Hoskins and his family came to Tucson in April of 2011 from Wichita, KS.  He earned his medical
degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, KS and completed his residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology in Wichita, KS. Dr. Hoskins is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrician
and Gynecologists.  He has 7+ years of combined experience in women’s health and primary care.  While in Wichita, Dr. Hoskins was in private practice as well serving as a Clinical Instructor with the University of Kansas, School of Medicine. Dr. Hoskins cares for both complicated and uncomplicated
pregnancies.  He also looks forward to providing his patients with all of the latest advances in women’s health care including Minimally Invasive Surgery including laparoscopy, in-office hysteroscopic tubal ligation (Essure ®), endometrial ablation, and da Vinci Robotic ® gynecological procedures. Dr. Hoskins goal is to provide his patients with professional, quality care.  He is a strong patient advocate who has an attentive bedside manner, a caring demeanor, and strives to gain his patients’ trust.  He is easily approachable and encourages his patients to ask questions and participate in their care.  It is his belief that the doctor-patient relationship is a partnership and only by fully answering all questions and discussing alternatives, can patients make informed choices regarding their healthcare.  Adequate time is scheduled with each patient so all concerns will be addressed. Dr. Hoskins is married and has two young sons.  He and his wife are avid golfers and diehard fans of the Kansas Jayhawks.
